Two injured after vehicle hits north St. Louis County post office

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - Two people are injured after a vehicle hit a north St. Louis County post office.

The accident happened around 11:45 a.m. Monday in the 9800 block of Halls Ferry Road, near Lucas and Hunt Road.

Police say the driver was transported to Christian Hospital Northeast with minor injuries, and a customer, was taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital with leg injuries.

A post office official has confirmed that mail bound for the Jennings Post Office will be going to the Garden Post Office at 8390 N. Broadway. 

"Every time I go inside to get my mail, I get my mail and I step to the side to read it, to see what it is, to see what I am going to throw away, what I am not going to through away, and there was a lady right there and the car went through and hit that lady and it was just wow," said Terrence Lee, one of two customers in the lobby of the post office at the time of the crash.
