ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Do you really need to see a penguin right now? Well, Tuesday might be your last chance to see the Saint Louis Zoo's Humboldt penguins.
Wednesday, those penguins will be moved to a new spot out of public view so construction can begin on the polar bear habitat. They'll return to the Penguin and Puffin Coast in 2015.
The penguin and puffin house will also close in a couple of weeks.
Admission to the Saint Louis Zoo is free. The zoo's summer hours are Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
