KSDK is looking for a superior Information Technology Manager to help maintain and improve the technical infrastructure at the station. The candidate must be well versed in multiple facets of IT including desktop and server management, security, and networking. All candidates must have strong organizational, people, and communication skills. Individuals applying for this position must have experience in managing IT projects from inception through system specification, planning, purchasing, vendor coordination, installation, conversion and training. Candidates must understand the 24/7 nature of the news business and be able to innovate solutions under deadlines. Duties will include;
• Maintaining and Improving current hardware and software infrastructure
• Working directly with the newsroom to maintain and improve workflow
• Providing direct support to all KSDK and executive staff
• Writing detailed documentation on process and procedures
4-year college degree required.
5 years experience in related broadcast or IT fields and has a portfolio of knowledge that supports these requirements.
Advanced working knowledge of newsroom computer systems (ENPS) and editing clients (Edius)
Thorough understanding of encoding/decoding, streaming, and network infrastructure
