ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A vacant structure in north St. Louis is in ruins this morning after fire consumed most of the buidiong which then collapse as firefighters were putting out the hot spots from the first alarm blaze.
The call came out around 3:35 a.m. Monday at the two story wood frame building in the 4700 block of Cupples Place near Marcus.
As soon as firefighters arrived, the fire was well underway throughout the building. One person suffered a minor burn in the incident and was treated at the scene.
No immediate word on what sparked the fire. The building is a total loss.
