ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - The St. Louis County prosecuting attorney has charged a St. Louis Community College-Meramec student for posting a threatening tweet toward the financial aid office Wednesday.
Kara Hohman faces a peace disturbance charge for tweeting, "If this financial aid doesn't figure itself out soon I'm going to kill someone. Going to Meramec for class is bad enough," according to a police statement. Police evacuated the financial aid office after seeing the tweet.
She later turned herself in and confessed to the posting, according to the statement.
A similar incident took place last week, when a student at St. Charles Community College was charged with making terroristic threats on Twitter after she got into a dispute with her counselor.
