ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - A Ferguson woman has died in the first heat-related death of the summer, according to the St. Louis County medical examiner.
The woman's air conditioner was not working in her home, and her body was found Thursday, according to the examiner.
Nine people have been treated for heat-related symptoms in St. Louis County this past week, including one who had to be hospitalized.
A heat advisory has been in effect for the St. Louis metropolitan area since Tuesday. The advisory remains in effect until Saturday at 7 p.m.
