ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Seven people died, including two in St. Louis, during Labor Day weekend, which matches last year's fatalities.
The Missouri Highway Patrol released statistics for traffic accidents and arrests, which were tracked Friday evening through Monday.
During the weekend, the Missouri Highway Patrol investigated 248 crashes, which included 112 injuries. Saturday, 25-year-old Justin Rohe, of St. Charles, died after failing to stop after a red light at the intersection of Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Ohmes Road, according to the patrol. On the same day, a motorcyclist died after crashing into a police car.
The Missouri Highway Patrol also arrested 119 for driving while intoxicated compared to 147 in 2012.
