FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (KSDK) - A soldier found unresponsive inside a barrack's bathroom at Fort Leonard Wood has been identified.
Sgt. 1st Class Nathan Dolson Jr., 49, of Niagara Falls, N.Y. was found at 6:24 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29. He was transported to the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A cause of death has not been released.
Sgt. Dolson was a drill sergeant assigned to Company C, 31st Engineer Battalion, 1st Engineer Brigade, Fort Leonard Wood since August. He had received awards throughout his 30 years of service, including four Army Achievement Medals, seven Army Reserve Components Achievement Medals, and the National Defense Service Medal.
The incident is under investigation.
