ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The United Way of Greater St. Louis announced their 2013 fundraising campaign goal.
Co-chairs Ron and Cheri Fromm announced the goal of $72.25 million at the St. Louis Rams' fourth annual Charity Luncheon that benefits United Way. Carrie Zukoski, a spokesperson for United Way says more than 600 people attended the luncheon and contributed more than $100,000 to kick off the campaign.
"Thank you to the Rams for hosting this luncheon today. We're excited to take this opportunity to announce our 2013 campaign goal and share just how important United Way is to the community," said Ron Fromm. "We are asking each of you in our community to answer the call to help people through United Way. If we each give what we can to help people in our region, we will make a positive difference in the lives of many."
Money raised by United Way is invested back into the community to help people and local agencies.
Last year's campaign raised more than $72.019 million.
