ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A St. Louisian will try his luck at becoming king of the chess world this week.
Hikaru Nakamura is already number one in the nation. This week he'll take on the best player on the entire planet as part of the Singuefiled Cup Tournament.
Four of the world's best players compete for the grand prize of $70,000.
The games kick off Monday and last all week at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center on Maryland.
