WILDWOOD, Mo. (KSDK) - There are new concerns a Wildwood lake could be disappearing.
Residents say the water levels at Lake Chesterfield are down about four feet over the past three months. They're not sure if it's dry weather, or if there's a bigger issue.
The Lake Chesterfield Home Owners Association has hired an engineer to look into it.
This is not the first time there have been problems on the 11 acre lake. In 2004 a sinkhole opened up underneath and drained the lake in a matter of days.
Geologists were called in to fix the problem, which cost about $600,000.
