Patriot Day in O'Fallon, Mo., 8:30 a.m., O'Fallon Municipal Centre, 100 North Main Street, O'Fallon, Mo.: The ceremony includes police, fire and ambulance district honor guard, the sounding of sirens followed by a moment of silence, and an opportunity for participants to place flowers at the memorial.
9/11 Commemorative Ceremony in Fenton, 5:30 p.m., Heroes Memorial, Fenton City Park: Guest speaker Sarrea Layton will discuss her journey after losing her brother in the attack on the World Trade Center. For more information about the ceremony, go to www.fentonmo.org.

9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at Beaumont, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m., Beaumont Career and Technical Education High School, 3836 Natural Bridge Avenue, St. Louis - Approximately 3,000 American flags will be on display on the lawn in remembrance on the attack. Speakers include St. Louis City Fire Department Captain Mike Killingsworth, St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department Captain Mary Edwards-Fears and Beaumont Principal Terrell Henderson. The event is open to the public.
9/11 Memorial Service in Arnold, 11:30 a.m., Memorial Garden at the Arnold Recreation Center, 1695 MO State Road - The service will include recognition of emergency services personnel and tributes of appreciation to those who serve the community. Reservations are appreciated but not required. Call 636-282-6686.

Belleville 9/11 Remembrance, 11:30 a.m., Belleville Firehouse #4, 1124 S. Illinois Street - Join the September 11 Memorial Walkway of Southern Illinois Committee and The City of Belleville for a 9/11 Moment of Remembrance to honor the victims and survivors of September 11, 2001. The ceremony will include a local color guard, a brass ensemble and an actual 35 foot steel column from the fallen World Trade Center. For more information, go to www.wtcmemorial.us.
