St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Life in prison with no chance of probation or parole is the punishment for a Walnut Park man convicted in May on first degree murder charges.
34 year old John LaDaniel Dailey was also sentenced to twenty years behind bars on assault and armed criminal action charges in connection to the September 2011 road rage shooting attack that left one man dead.
Authorities say Dailey shot 19 year old Christopher Walton-Jones during an argument that erupted between Walton-Jones and Dailey while the men were in separate vehicles in the 8500 block of North Broadway.
Police say the victim was in a southbound car in the Baden neighborhood when a pick-up truck that Dailey was riding in nearly struck a car Walton-Jones was in.
The two men exchanged barbs between the moving vehicles when Dailey opened fire, shooting and killing Walton-Jones. A woman driving the car the victim was in was not injured in the attack.
