KENNETT, Mo. (AP) - It looks like a burglary suspect in the southeast Missouri town of Kennett picked the wrong church to break into.
The Kennett Daily Dunklin Democrat reports that police were called Friday night to the Third Street Baptist Church, told that a burglary was in process.
Officers found the front window of the church broken out. Inside, they found a man being detained by several church members.
A 20-year-old suspect is jailed, with second-degree burglary charges expected.
