PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WTSP) - Testimony in the murder trial of the woman known as "hiccup girl" is under way in Florida.
Jennifer Mee, 22, lived up to that nickname Thursday. The sound of hiccups echoed through the courtroom. Mee is accused of helping to lure 22-year-old Shannon Griffin to a house to rob him. He was later shot dead.
Mee's continual case of the hiccups first captured national attention back in 2007.
On Thursday, jurors heard testimony from firearms, DNA and medical experts, and the phone call Mee made to her parents when she was booked in jail.
She faces life in prison if convicted.
