Work continues on the new Mississippi River bridge
HANNIBAL, Mo. (AP) - Authorities in the Hannibal area continue to seek the identity of a young woman whose body was found in the Mississippi River south of the northeast Missouri town.
The Hannibal Courier-Post reports that Marion County Sheriff Jimmy Shinn is asking for the public's help in identifying the victim, whose body was discovered Sunday along the Missouri shore.
Shin says the victim was apparently 15 to 30 years of age, 5-foot-3 and weighing about 135 pounds with shoulder-length black hair.
