COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KSDK) - A 50-year-old Madison man has been arrested and charged with tying up two people and sexually assaulting one of them Thursday.
Jerry Sutt faces two counts of unlawful restraint and two counts of aggravated sexual assault.
Members of the Madison County Sheriff's Office, Granite City Police Department, and the United States Marshals Office put out an active search for Sutt following the assault report, according to police records.
Williamson County, Tenn. Sheriff's deputies arrested him during a traffic stop Monday, according to the documents.
According to court records, Sutt tied up a victim and their roommate in a Collinsville home, while he carried a handgun, then sexually assaulted one of them. The person sexually assaulted was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
He is currently held in Williamson County jail on a $500,000 bond.
