OHIO COUNTY, K.Y. (WFIE/CNN) - Authorities believe wolf dogs may hold the answer to the case of a missing Kentucky woman.
The Ohio County Sheriff's Department say these animals may have eaten at least part of Patricia Ritz's remains. Police say neighbors haven't seen the elderly woman in more than a week. There's a chance she died, and at least some of her remains were eaten by the dogs, believed to be Ritz's pets.
During an investigation, authorities found a human skull and jawbone. The county coroner's office is working toward identifying the remains, but police believe they came from Ritz.
Animal control is also involved in this matter, attempting to find homes for the dogs.
