MARIES COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - A man has been taken into custody after authorities found items related to the manufacture of methamphetamines, drug paraphernalia and numerous weapons after executing a search warrant at a residence on Highway 133 near Dixon.
Dennis Lawson, 52, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, felony unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and felony unlawful possession of firearms. Lawson, a seven-time convicted felon, is currently on probation. He is currently being wherein Maries County Jail pending warrant application.
The raid was conducted by the Maries County SWAT team and Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group.
"I am glad no one was hurt in apprehending this career criminal," Maries County Sheriff Chris Heitman said in a news release. "Anytime you take illegal weapons and drugs off the street, it is a success."
