BRIDGETON, Mo. (KSDK) - A federal raid took place in Bridgeton Wednesday.

Authorities won't tell us much, but our photojournalist did see Homeland Security and U.S. Postal Inspection officers at what looks like a business off St. Charles Rock Road.

Investigators hauled off boxes of evidence in a U-Haul.

NewsChannel 5 has learned this is part of a joint federal investigation with the DEA, IRS, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement involving synthetic drugs.

This investigation appears to be connected to a similar raid at a bait and tackle shop in Weldon Spring, Mo. and a raid in Battlefield, Mo.  Authorities will not confirm how many raids are taking place across the state.
