CENTREVILLE, Ill. (KSDK) - A man who told police that he was "cut-off" slammed into a light pole and wrapped around it late Wednesday night. He was taken to the hospital with injuries.
Police initially received the call at 11:10 p.m. A driver was going north on Lake Boulevard when, claiming he was "cut off," he slammed into a light pole and wrapped around it. Police say they don't see any evidence that the man was cut off.
The driver was able to crawl out of the wreckage on his own before authorities arrived. He was taken to the hospital with injuries.
Lake Boulevard was shut down in both directions at the intersection with Beachland Place.
