ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KSDK) - Texas Governor Rick Perry, who last month engaged in a war of words with Missouri Governor Jay Nixon over allegations of job poaching and ads asking businesses to relocate to the Lone Star State, is returning to the Show Me State.
Perry will visit St. Charles on Friday, September 27 to help launch the Americans for Economic Freedom (AFEF) political action organization. Perry will be joined by AFEF CEO Jeff Miller and Marc Rodriguez, chairman of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The group, which will be a designated 501(c)(4) non-profit, states as its goals advancing economic policies at the state level to promote job growth and business development.
The Texas governor will field questions from reporters following the announcement at a news conference scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. at the Embassy Suites in Two Convention Center Plaza.
