ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Today in St. Louis anchor Pat McGonigle and anchor/reporter Art Holliday were among the 'Best of St. Louis' award-winners in the Riverfront Times' annual publication.
The Riverfront Times identified 275 people, places and organizations as 'Best of' in the following categories: Arts & Entertainment, Food & Drink, People & Places, Shopping & Services, Sports & Recreation, and Reader's Choice.
Pat McGonigle was named 'Best TV News Anchor' for his gregarious personality and willingness to try anything in the name of putting out an entertaining morning news show.
"I was floored when I heard about this honor from the Riverfront Times! I've been a weekly reader of the RFT since my freshman year at SLU in 1990. We have a very tight-knit crew on Today in St. Louis and we're constantly encouraging each other to take risks. I count myself lucky to be surrounded by such a great team," McGonigle said in response to the big news.
Art Holliday was named 'Best Hair on a TV Personality (Male)' for his
luxurious locks awesome afro wondrous hairscape vibrant bald head. What's not to love about Art's dome?
"As any bald person will tell you, hair is overrated," Holliday said. "Since a comb over was not an option, I long ago decided to be bold and go bald. As for the RFT recognition, who am I to argue?"
