Sales Associate

The sales associate will directly support the local sales managers, sales promotions manager, and local sales team. The sales associate will be required to perform a variety of tasks and projects including but not limited to: order entry, presentation preparation, maintain collateral materials for proposals, work seamlessly with other departments, preparing expense reports, conference call coordination, office supply inventory management, filing, coordinating mail for sales team, and answering phone calls.  This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and will create and manage all internal documents for internal or external dissemination. The sales associate will also work closely with other Administrative Assistants within KSDK on various duties.  As the immediate contact for the LSM, and local sales team, this position must have excellent communication skills, show initiative and be an independent thinker.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage or assist with project coordination including Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and the maintenance of files and databases in a fast-paced environment. Will disseminate a high volume of internal and external information including reports, documents, emails, schedules
  • Daily order entry will be required
  • Assist LSMs and sales team in other non-revenue generating activities in order to maximize selling opportunities and time   
  • Prepare, review and submit staff expense reports
  • Monitor office supplies, promotional tickets and prizes
  • Manage all overflow phone calls for the LSMs.  Serve as the main contact for internal staff and external clientele while other staff is out of office
  • Maintains support staff schedules and calendars. Coordinate and assist with all meetings and conferences with internal staff as needed
  • Assist with revenue reporting and other ancillary reports  

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Business or minimum of 4 years experience with media company
  • Professional administrative abilities with a minimum of 2 years directly supporting management positions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook and Powerpoint
  • Experience booking travel and handling expenses
  • Must have an upbeat attitude and ability to work independently
  • Experience with Wide Orbit is a plus
