TROY, Mo. (KSDK) - A carnival worker admitted Friday to reduced assault charges connected to a May 2013 attack on a co-worker at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds in Troy.
Clint Carelse, a 26 year old South African native working for an Indiana amusement company, pleaded guilty to assaulting a 22-year-old co-worker with a knife. The two men were in the area after working a carnival in neighboring St. Charles County.
Witnesses told authorities an argument between the two men escalated when Carelse went to his sleeping quarters and got a knife, then attacked the victim.
Carelse was sentenced to 120 days in the county jail, and was released since he was credited for time served.
