ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A south city man is dead after being stabbed by his girlfriend's adult son just after midnight on Friday, police say.
It happened at a home in the 7500 block of Vermont Avenue, where homicide detectives say they found a 46-year-old man inside the bedroom of the home with multiple stab wounds. Earlier reports from police said the victim was found in the backyard.
Investigators say an argument between the victim and his girlfriend's adult son escalated when the 21-year-old pulled out a hunting knife and stabbed the victim repeatedly in the chest and abdomen.
The victim was pronounced dead at the crime scene.
The suspect -- who police did not identify - fled the home and was later found at a residence in the 3000 block of Southern Manor in the Mehlville area of south St. Louis County.
No additional information was immediately available.
