Hillsboro, MO (KSDK) - Two robberies in less than 3-hours in Jefferson County have authorities thinking they may be looking for one man being responsible for both crimes.

Authorities say Tuesday night, around 11:30 p.m. the bandit hit the Circle K store in the 5600 block of Highway PP in High Ridge.  The suspect was wearing a bandana over his face, displayed a gun and demanded cash.  the clerk declined turning anything over and the suspect demanded a second time before turning around and leaving the store.

Just before 2:00 a.m. this morning, a man with a similar description entered the Steak n Shake in the 1100 block of Gravois wearing a dark colored bandana and demanded cash from the register.

The Steak n Shake worker denied giving the man anything and the suspect left the restaurant.  The employee who confronted the suspect said they saw the man tucking a weapon under his arm as he left the business.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department at 1-636-797-5515.
