CDC warns of multistate Salmonella outbreak

Good Earth Eggs of Bonne Terre, Mo. is recalling all of its eggs after reporters of eight people getting sick.

The CDC is warning consumers of new multistate Salmonella Oranienburg infections.

Tuesday, the CDC announced an investigation into eggs distributed by Good Earth Egg Company, located in Bonne Terre, Mo.

Eight people from three states - Missouri, Illinois and Kansas - have reported salmonella infections tied to Good Earth Egg Company, and two others were hospitalized.

No deaths have been reported.

The CDC is advising retailers and restaurants to avoid selling or serving eggs distributed by the Bonne Terre, Mo. egg plant. 

The investigation is ongoing, and more information will come as soon as it's available.
