Cheney's book draws focus to heart disease

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - He's been called the most powerful vice president in U.S. history, but Dick Cheney says he's just lucky to be alive.

The former vice president released a new book that talks about his long history of heart disease, his heart transplant, and making peace with death.

In many ways, it's a story that traces the amazing developments in the field of interventional cardiology. Dr. Michael Lim, director of the Division of Cardiology at Saint Louis University Medical Center, joined First @ 4 Monday with some perspective on the rapid development of cardiac breakthroughs.
