Conservation presentation at STL Zoo

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – The Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the Zebra Pen Corporation donated $15,000 to support conservation of the endangered Grevy's zebra on Monday.

It's the largest of the three zebra species.

There were 15,000 Grevy's Zebras in the 1980s. Today, there are just 2,500, and seven of them live in the St. Louis Zoo.

Our zoo was chosen for the announcement because staff members are actively involved in the Grevy's Zebra Trust.
