15-year-old in custody after police foot pursuit

ST. LOUIS – A teen boy is in custody after a foot pursuit by St. Louis police.

Leah K. Freeman, a spokesperson for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, says officers were called to the intersection of Marcus and St. Louis Avenue in north St. Louis around 4:41 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a disturbance.

Officers determined the vehicle involved in the disturbance had been reported stolen.

The driver of the vehicle, a 15-year-old male, ran from the area, initiating a foot pursuit. He was taken into custody a short time later.

One passenger in the vehicle ran from the scene and is still at large.

Additional juvenile passengers were released to their parents.
