7 children shot in STL over 22 days

ST. LOUIS - Violence continues in the St. Louis area over the weekend.

At least seven children have been shot since May 20 in the St. Louis area.

The latest, a 12-year-old boy was shot in the leg on Texas Avenue on Sunday. Police responded to the 3000 block of Texas Avenue around 12:45 a.m. Sunday. The victim is listed in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.

TIMELINE

May 20 – 5-year-old shot in chest on Beacon and West Florissant.
May 30 – 15-year-old shot and killed on Coventry Lane.
June 1 – A quadruple shooting on Lillian where a 7-year-old shot and remains in critical condition.
June 2 – A boy in his early teens was shot in the head on Hodiamont.
June 3 –17-year-old Jalen Woods was shot and killed on Union Avenue.
June 7 – 13-year-old shot while sitting on bed in Madison, Illinois.
