Adoption papers stolen from unlocked car

O'FALLON, MO. - Police are looking for stolen adoption papers Tuesday after multiple unlocked cars were entered late Monday and early Tuesday.

According to a post on the O'Fallon Missouri Police Department Facebook page, several unlocked cars were entered in the Dames Park, Hyland Green, Homefield and Diamond Pointe neighborhoods.

Police have two men in custody and are looking for a juvenile suspect, but have not been able to locate the missing adoption papers.

Police are asking residents in the neighborhoods to look in their trash cans, open sewer drains and on their property. They believe the papers were likely dumped and are hoping to return the papers to the family.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department immediately.
