St. Louis (KSDK) - A man robbed a 7-Eleven convenience store with a machete, police said Tuesday.
Police said the robber ordered the clerk to open the cash register in the store at 6909 Southwest on Monday at 12:16 a.m. The robber took money and ran from the store.
An officer in the area stopped a vehicle matching the description of the robber and took the person into custody. A machete was also recovered. A second person in the van was also arrested.
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office charged Kramer Martin with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. Martin remains jailed on $50,000 cash-only bond.
The 28-year-old passenger in the van has not been charged as of yet.
