Hillsboro, Missouri (KSDK)-- Sentencing is scheduled for May second for a Jefferson County man who has pleaded guilty to charges resulting from a fatal car crash.
20 year old Dustin Ray of Hillsboro was charged in connection to the May 2008 crash which left a passenger inside his vehicle dead of her injuries.
17-year old Jessica Kimble of Hillsboro died after the car Ray was operating ran off Highway A at a high rate of speed and went down an embankment where it slammed into a cluster of trees near Pioneer Road.
Ray and another passenger in the vehicle were also injured in the crash, but survived.
Investigators say along with speeding at the time, Ray was also driving the car in the wrong lanes of the highway.
Ray was charged with involuntary and assault in the case. The guilty plea was made in Jefferson County before Judge Gary Kramer
