St. Peters, Mo (KSDK) -- St. Peters police are looking for a man who stole $2,000 worth of parts from behind an auto body shop.

Police said surveillance video shows a man stealing the parts from the store located on the 1st block of Algana Court at 7 p.m. on March 10.

Police said the suspect returned earlier this month to remove more items from behind the auto parts shop.

The suspect is described as being a male between 35 and 50 years old.  He has a heavy build and dark hair with a mustache.  He was seen smoking in the surveillance video.

The man was driving a late model white truck with a camper shell and running board on the driver's side of the vehicle. There is a chrome fuel cap on the driver's side of the vehicle. The vehicle was pulling a large, open trailer with various scrap items.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Todd Roth at 636-278-2244 ext. 3535 or dispatch at 636-278-2222.
