Belleville, IL (KSDK) - A Belleville man has been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals after seven kittens were found dead the evening of May 8, 2012.

Terry D. Roy, 46, was charged with the crime.

Someone walking a dog at North End Park discovered the kittens near railroad tracks just off a trail.

It appeared some type of trauma had killed the kittens.

Bail for Roy is set at $25,000.
