Las Vegas (KSNV/CNN) - Tracy Kauffman was sentenced today for killing his former lover at a Las Vegas bar last November.
Kauffman shot Phil Wells 24 times at the bar where Wells was working.
During his sentencing hearing, Kauffman apologized to his and Wells' family.
"Most of all I'd like to apologize to Mr. and Mrs. (inaudible) and tell you how sorry I am for the hurt and pain I've caused you and I'm responsible for. I know there's no words or actions I can say or do that can change what happened. I'm also sorry to the babies for the loss of their dad," said Kauffman.
Kauffman accepted a plea deal and will spend at least 28 years in prison.
