St. Louis (KSDK) - The mother of a murdered teen says someone's lying about her daughter's killing.
Corneshia Smith, 14, was shot Sunday night. She died from her injuries.
Police say she had been in a fight earlier that night, but her mother says she just can't believe that.
"She always called me if she got into any kind of trouble. She's call her mama. She'd be like mama come and get me because she's not no fighter, she never was a fighter," said her mother.
Smith was outside of a home on Dunnica in south St. Louis when the shooting happened.
Her mother says she was spending the night with a friend.
So far, no one's been arrested in the case.
Police are asking for anyone with information to call them.
