Tampa, FL (WFTS/CNN) - A man and woman are dead after a shooting Friday in a Florida restaurant parking lot, and police say their young son witnessed the murder-suicide.

Investigators believe the man was to drop off the eight-year-old to the woman, the boy's mother.

Witnesses say the man shot the woman after they argued, and then turned the gun on himself.

The child was not hurt.
