St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office charged a 31-year-old man Thursday in connection with the 21st Ward office building arson.

According to Schron Jackson, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the fire happened Tuesday in the 4200 block of Natural Bridge Road just before 4:40 a.m. The suspect poured gasoline into the building's mail slot and lit the liquid.

Police had surveillance video of the incident.

Richard H. Williamson was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted arson and armed criminal action.  He remains jailed on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
