St. Louis, MO (KSDK)- Police and homicide detectives say a late Wednesday evening shooting in south St. Louis has claimed the life of a man and left a woman hospitalized with non life threatening injuries.
Authorities say the gunfire occurred around 11:45am outside a home in the 3800 block of Louisiana Avenue. Neither of the victims have been identified at this point in the ongoing investigation.
Police say they located the deceased man on the ground outside the residence and the injured woman nearby. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was transported to a nearby hospital.
The condition of the woman who was shot is unknown.
Investigators say they have not established a motive for the attack and have not identified any suspects. Police say they are looking for a red Pontiac G6 which was seen fleeing the area after the gunfire.
