East St. Louis, IL (KSDK) - A 32-year-old Cairo, Illinois man was convicted Tuesday in federal court of one count of distribution of crack cocaine and one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Montarico C. Johnson was convicted after a two day jury trial.

Court documents state Johnson sold crack cocaine and a firearm to a confidential source working with police on February 18, 2010.

Johnson is scheduled to be sentenced on September 27, 2012.
