Milwaukee, WI (WISN/CNN) - Police cars lined the streets outside a college campus in Milwaukee after the stabbing of a female student.
The woman, in her 20s, was stabbed several times by a man who is now in custody.
Police stressed that she knew her attacker and the stabbing was a result of a domestic dispute and not a random act of violence.
Other students were told of the attack via e-mail, but they were assured of their safety on campus.
Officers cordoned off the scene of the crime - an entire floor of the Milwaukee Area Technical College.
