Troy, MO (KSDK) - Charges have been filed against a teen after three Lincoln County schools were put on lockdown Wednesday.
Blaine Michael Erp, 17, is facing felony charges of making terrorist threats.
Authorities say Erp showed his girlfriend three loaded handguns and an assault rifle, and reportedly said he planned to kill his family and shoot specific students at Troy-Buchanan High School.
On Wednesday afternoon, Erp's girlfriend went to school resource officers and told them of his plan.
Police decided to lock down Troy-Buchanan and New Horizon High Schools until they took the boy into custody. Police contacted Blaine Erp by telephone around 2 p.m. Wednesday and advised the teen to turn himself in. He was taken into custody near the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
Both schools were back in session Thursday. Erp bonded out of jail that same day.
