Fairview Heights, IL (KSDK) - Police are investigating after a police officer's home was burglarized and weapons were stolen.
Fairview Heights police say they received a call about a burglary around 10 p.m. November 1. A police officer from another jurisdiction who resides in the City of Fairview Heights reported several items had been taken from his home.
An investigation revealed the suspected entered through a back bedroom window.
The officer's department-issued Glock handgun, a personally owned AK-47, jewelry, and two bullet-proof vests were taken.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery or identity of the suspects should contact CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS. A $1,500 cash reward is offered for anyone with information leading to an arrest.
