St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a double shooting that took place Sunday night in a north city neighborhood.

According to a police spokesperson, the shooting occurred around 7:50 p.m. in the 5500 block of Genevieve Avenue in the Walnut Park East neighborhood.

Officers were called to a home for a shooting and found the victims, two men, ages 23 and 40, lying in the front yard with apparent gunshot wounds. The 40-year-old was able to give a limited description of the shooters to police.

Both victims remain listed in stable condition at a local hospital.

The suspects have not been identified and remain on the loose.
