ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A podiatrist that practices in Washington, Missouri has been sentenced on Medicare fraud charges.
Dr. John M. Dailey, 55, of West St. Louis County was sentenced to eight months in prison for making false statements to the Medicare program.
Dailey claimed that he had face to face office visits with three patients that did not occur. According to court documents the doctor was on vacation outside the state of Missouri when the supposed visits happened.
Dailey will also have to pay a court imposed $60,000 restitution to the Medicare program.
