LINCOLN CITY, Ore. (AP) - Police say they've captured a Washington state man suspected of killing his grandparents last weekend and fleeing to the Oregon coast.
Michael Boysen had been the subject of a multistate manhunt. A motel clerk in the tourist town of Lincoln City saw his face on television and called police on Tuesday.
Authorities spent much of the day trying to get the 26-year-old to come out of his room. A state police negotiator used a bullhorn to urge him to surrender and officers later fired blasts from a water cannon to try to get some kind of response.
The bodies of Boysen's grandparents were found Saturday in their suburban Seattle home, a day after Boysen was released from prison and was greeted with a welcome home party.
