Brothers charged for dozens of burglaries

ST. LOUIS COUNTY – Two brothers are accused of a series of burglaries in south St. Louis County.

Joseph Been, 36, is charged with 36 counts of burglary. His brother, 28-year-old Mark Been, is charged with 13 counts of burglary.

The Beens are accused of throwing objects through glass doors or windows to get inside businesses. Cash registers were targeted, and other items were not usually taken.

The burglaries started in October 2013 and continued until the brothers were arrested Nov. 27.
